I have noticed that bound and gagged scenes in German TV and movies tend to be very realistic. It is common they show how the damsel is captured, tied and gagged. And the bindings and gags are usually tight and effective, with the use of stuffing pretty usual. Also, the scenes are long, with lots of struggling and showing different angles and close ups, both of the gagged faces as the bindings in hands, legs and ankles. This scene is a fair example of that.
